I The Studio

A multi-genre studio with a single focus: atmosphere.

Talven Studio is an independent video game studio, founded in April 2026 in Paris. We work across atmospheric, narrative forms (visual novels, horror games, narrative fiction) bound by a shared interest in tone, mood, and story as the engine of play.

We prefer to keep our projects quiet until they're ready to be shown. The studio releases work only when it's finished, not before. What lies behind the door comes out when its time has come.

II Our Principles

Four principles that guide how the work takes shape.

The studio rests on a few principles: deliberately simple, deliberately few. They guide everything, before and after the door opens.

Atmosphere
We start with mood. Every project begins as a tonality before becoming a pitch: the feeling that should inhabit a place when you step into the story. Plot comes after.

Pace
Games take the time they take. We don't ship to a schedule, and we don't pre-announce. Better to release one work that stands on its own than three that don't.

Scope
Small teams. Tight stories. We choose intimacy over scale, depth over breadth. The studio is deliberately small, and intends to remain so.

Silence
Work in progress stays in progress. No teasers, no roadmaps, no public devlogs on active projects. The work is shown when it's finished. Not before.
